History of College :
During December 1991, Universal Research Institute of Astro and Occult Sciences headed by Guruji.Shri.P.V.K.Punneswara rao suggested to establish Universal college of Astrology and the Annual General Body has approved a resolution in its meeting held on 12th July 1992. The Trust was registered, accordingly, on 20th Aug, 1992.

The Trust was constituted with Guruji Sri P.V.K.Punneswara rao, as Chairman and Sri. Y.Madhava Rao, Sri. K.Babu Rao, Sri. V.S.Pracasa Rao, Sri. K.Venkatacharyulu, Sri. P.Ramachandra Rao and Sri. C.N.Prasada Rao as Members.

Life of Guruji Late Sri P.V.K. PUNNESWARA RAO RAO garu, who hailed from a simple orthodox family, stands as a best example for making the life a wholesome, fruitful and successful one.

During the year 1996, Management Committees of the Universal Research Institute of Astro & Occult Sciences and of the Universal College of Astrology Trust have decided to entrust the work of publication of astrological books, magazines, journals, booklets, research papers etc., to a separate registered body, for operational convenience.
