DESCRIPTION
|
This course emphasises is on casting of Horoscope in the first
semester. Interpretation of Horoscope is dealt with in the second
semester. The emphasis is on K P System while the fundamentals of
Vedic system of Astrology are the essential input. It is aimed to
enable the candidate to manually cast the Horoscope both in
Traditional system and in K P System.

Written examination is conducted at the end of every semester and

THEORY OF ASTROLOGY
Concept of astrology, its use and relationship with other sciences
Origin and history of astrology
Various systems and branches of astrology and House divisions
ASTRONOMY RELEVANT TO ASROLOGY
Solar system, Planets, Signs, Constellations forms and their lords
Division of Zodiac and basics of signs
Theory of astronomy - Basic concepts. Rotation and revolution of
planets.
MATHEMATICAL ASTROLOGY
Time Difference--Standard, Zonal and Sidereal Time, GMT, IST and
LMT
Concept of Ayanamsa and difference between Indian and Western
systems
Various forms of charts
Casting of horoscope- Natal and Horary (KP method)
Calculation of Dasa periods
Difference between a sign and Bhava
Verification of correctness of a chart
Theory of sign, star and sub lords
Ruling Planets
Selection of significators

JYOTISHYA VISARADA (2nd Year Course)

DESCRIPTION
|
This course is on interpretation of horoscope in an advanced way,
especially under K P System. The fundamental predictive principles of
Vedic astrology are also invariably referred to.

DESCRIPTION
|
The idea in this course is to ensure that the candidate is also aware
of the systems of Astrology other than K.P. The course contents are
mostly on topics other than K P system. They are on Western
System, Ashtakavarga System, Numerology, Palmistry etc.
